The Viersprong Institute for Studies on Personality Disorders (VISPD) is the research department of 'de Viersprong'. 'De Viersprong' is a specialised mental health care institute in the Netherlands, which recognises the importance of a policy based on academisation and innovation. The scientific research done at VISPD aims to facilitate patient-focused, evidence-based and cost-effective care for patients with personality disorders. Furthermore, the research performed here is driven on external factors and as such anticipates on market mechanisms in mental health care and health policy. Het 'Viersprong Institute for Studies on Personality Disorders' (VISPD) is de onderzoeksafdeling van de Viersprong, landelijk centrum voor persoonlijkheidsproblematiek. Het wetenschappelijk onderzoek van het VISPD is er op gericht patiënten met persoonlijkheidsstoornissen de meest optimale zorg te bieden. Verder ligt de nadruk voornamelijk op onderzoek dat inspeelt op actuele vraagstukken binnen de geestelijke gezondheidszorg en het gezondheidszorgbeleid. Omdat het VISPD intensief samenwerkt met buitenlandse wetenschappers, is de voertaal van de VISPD-website Engels.
