De Viersprong, Netherlands Institute for Personality Disorders, seeks to promote the mental health of people with severe personality disorders and behavioral problems by (1) providing diagnostic and treatment services, (2) conducting scientific research, (3) developing new treatments or adapting existing programs to new target populations, (4) disseminating knowledge, and (5) delivering quality assurance systems.

De Viersprong is a highly specialized institute for mental health care. Her treatment services include a variety of outpatient, day hospital and inpatient psychotherapies, including Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT), Schema Focused Therapy (SFT), Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), Transactional Analysis (TA), Multisystem Therapy (MST, and Functional Family Therapy (FFT). Our patients are referred from all over the Netherlands. They generally have had a long history of severe (psychiatric) symptoms and problems and previous treatments were often unsuccessful.

De Viersprong always aims to work to sustainable patient recovery with innovative, and proven cost-effective treatments.The department that treats adults with personality disorders has a recognized quality assurance that's called  ‘TOPGGz Erkend’ (recognized top mental health care).
