Rachel van der Rijken, Ph.D.
Rachel van der Rijken studied Neuropsychology at Tilburg University. She graduated with distinction in July 2001, after which she obtained a position as a Ph.D. student at the Department of Medical Psychology of the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre. She investigated the neurocognitive effects of open-heart surgery in school-age children with congenital heart disease and obtained her Ph.D. in July 2010.
Rachel has been working at the Viersprong Institute for Studies on Personality Disorders (VISPD) since spring 2009. Her main activities involve the development and coordination of research projects in the field of Forensic Youth Psychiatry mainly focused on multisystemic therapy.
