Scoring of the SIPP
SIPP-118 and SIPP-SF
The SPSS-syntax provides information about which items of the SIPP-118 should be recoded, and how the facets and higher order domains can be computed and labelled. The syntax of the SIPP-118 is available as an SPSS-file and can be found below. Now also available: the syntax of the SIPP-SF (60 items) and the syntax for transforming the SIPP-118 data in SIPP-SF data.
Preparations before using the syntax:
- Variable names SIPP-118: Name item 1 sipp001, name item 2 sipp002, etc.
- Variable names SIPP-SF (60 items): Name item 1 sip01, item 2 sip02, etc.
- Item value labels: Score “fully disagree” as 1, “partly disagree” as 2, “partly agree” as 3 and “fully agree” as 4
