Eva Horn and Jan van Busschbach SCEPTRE is an acronym for Study on Cost-Effectiveness of Personality Disorder Treatment. The project was launched on 1st September 2003 at six mental health care institutes in the Netherlands (de Viersprong, CvP De Gelderse Roos, Altrecht, ZMC De Heel, Mentrum, GGZ WNB). Approximately one hundred people are working on SCEPTRE, including ten researchers and ten research assistants. The project follows more than 800 patients with personality disorders undergoing a variety of different psychotherapeutic treatments over a period of three years. Project SCEPTRE includes three PhD tracks: effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and treatment selection. These are briefly explained below. Prof. Dr. Jan van Busschbach is the principal investigator. The inclusion of patients in SCEPTRE has been completed in March 2006. Follow-up of patients will continue until 2011. Subprojects of SCEPTREAnna Bartak, PhD did research on the effectiveness of psychotherapy for personality disorders. Djøra Soeteman, PhD investigated the cost-effectiveness of psychotherapy for personality disorders. Publications of these researchers can be found under "Publicaties". |
